Eilandgedichten

Ian Macmenamin nodigde mij uit op Ameland, hij schrijft er ontzettend mooie en grappige gedichten, bakt pannenkoeken in het restaurant van zijn vader en had het fantastische idee om een geïllustreerde gedichtenbundel uit te brengen. Eilandgedichten. En die illustraties mocht ik maken. Daarvoor ging ik naar het eiland, verzamelde er spullen, maakte foto’s en gebruikte die voor de illustraties.

Islandpoems

Ian Macmenamin invited me to Ameland, where he writes incredibly beautiful and funny poems, bakes pancakes in his father’s restaurant and had the fantastic idea to publish an illustrated collection of poems. And I got to create those illustrations. For that, I went to the island, collected stuff, took photos and used them for the illustrations.
